Our Neighborhood

News & Events

The Buckhead Community is one of the most unique districts of our city. It is a thriving entertainment and business corridor nestled in a beautiful historic community. Buckhead Forest is a tranquil refuge of single family homes, townhomes, and condominiums situated amidst the booming commercial center of Buckhead. This tree-shaded neighborhood, located within the triangle formed by the connection of Roswell Road, Peachtree Road, and Piedmont Road, is bordered by two of Atlanta’s most beautiful churches: Peachtree Presbyterian Church and Peachtree Road United Methodist. The neighborhood, developed in the 1920's and 1930's as the Shadowlawn subdivision. Buckhead Forest is a short walk from everything in the center of Buckhead and accessible by MARTA bus and rail transit stations.

We are served by Sarah Rawson Smith Elementary School, which consistently ranks within the top 5% of schools in Georgia. Offering an IB diploma, it is also a National Blue Ribbon School and recently received the Platinum Award from the GA Department of Education. Our Civic Association works hard to preserve Buckhead Forest’s natural beauty and our quality of life, and is proud of Buckhead’s beautiful surroundings, friendly and welcoming attitudes, and the unity of a fantastic little neighborhood.
